I never thought I'd see the day. Ronnie, world number one out in the second round. Astounding. Guess I should probably start eating my hat about the final.
Here's hoping Carter makes it at least to the semis.

Snooker.
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN BOYS AND GIRLS!
The Snooker World Championship has come to take over countless hours of my free time, not to mention the "working" hours I will spend on the BBC website. Snooker, for me is a lot like heroin.
It's a bit early to predict anything but as always I'm predicting great things for Ali Carter, god bless his socks. Mark Selby's not looking too shabby either. And if Ronnie's not in the final I'll buy the first person to notice a drink. Oh no I won't.
